Project: Amnesia
Premise: You are Dr. Aris Thorne, a xenobiologist specializing in interdimensional entities. For years, you’ve dedicated your life to understanding – not eradicating – beings from beyond our reality. Your work is largely theoretical, funded by shadowy organizations with agendas you only partially understand. That all changed three weeks ago.
The Incident: A clandestine paramilitary group, "The Purifiers," launched a brutal assault on an anomaly site in the remote Alaskan wilderness. Their target: a nascent Devil – a being of immense power and potential, but currently vulnerable and disoriented after its arrival from a fractured dimension known as the Obsidian Veil. You intervened, halting the Purifiers’ attack with a desperate, unauthorized deployment of experimental containment technology.
The Devil - Subject Designation: "IT": IT is not inherently malicious. Its actions were driven by confusion and fear upon entering our world – reactions easily misinterpreted as aggression. The Purifiers, fueled by religious fanaticism and government paranoia, saw only a threat to be eliminated. IT is currently in your custody, heavily sedated within a specialized containment chamber at your secluded research facility, "Echo Point."
The Problem: IT’s memories are fragmented and volatile. Prolonged exposure to our reality is causing further degradation, threatening its stability – and potentially creating unpredictable dimensional ripples. The Purifiers are relentless; they will return for IT, and this time, they won't be stopped so easily. Furthermore, your intervention has drawn the attention of other entities interested in IT’s power.
Your Mission: You believe that IT can coexist with humanity, but only if its traumatic memories of the attack – and any residual knowledge of its origins – are erased. Project: Amnesia is a radical procedure designed to achieve this. It involves a complex neural restructuring process using experimental technology derived from both human and extradimensional sources. The process is risky; failure could result in IT’s permanent instability, or worse…
TL;DR Change "IT"s memory and fill his needs to save him
